Video
Panopto
A licensed video repository system that enables you to store and manage you video, audio, and picture files. You can access Panopto through your MyNMC homepage. Check out our Panopto tutorials to learn more.
Zoom
Zoom is the web-conferencing platform used at NMC. Zoom will allow you to schedule and host online meetings with students, share screens, record lectures, and speak with students in real time. Instructors can request a free Zoom account by putting in a help desk ticket. See our Zoom tutorials.
Lightboard
The lightboard is unique video/lecture capture tool available to all NMC instructors. Recording is done with a glass panel and black curtain to make words glow and float in front of the instructor as they are discussing course content. Take a look at the video below for an example and tips on using this new technology.
Kanopy Video
Kanopy is a database of more than 30,000 streaming videos, including classic, independent, and documentary short and full length films. Students can watch films assigned by their instructors on a variety of devices (e.g. phones, tablets, and smart TVs) by creating a Kanopy account tied to their NMC login credentials.
