1. Identify the challenges veteran's may face in your Online Course in particular.
Challenges veterans may face in my online course may include, and are not limited to: readjusting to civilian life (pace, expectations, etc); challenges with memory/recall, attentiveness, vision, and mental health.
2. How might you address these needs?
I can address the needs of veterans by connecting students to NMC's resources for veterans, students who are differently-abled, and counseling services. Additionally, I will be cognizant of these unique challenges and flexible with, and understanding of, the needs of veteran students.
3. How would meeting Veteran's needs be different than meeting other students with similar needs?
Meeting the needs of veterans may be different than meeting the needs of other students in that along with learning needs based on mental, physical, and emotional health, veteran students may have needs related to triggering content and discussions with classmates.
